  • Named No. 9 on FORTUNE magazine's sixth annual listing of "The 100 Best Companies to Work For" (as a member of the Synovus family of companies)
  • Named to Business 2.0's B2 100, the magazine's ranking of the fastest-growing technology companies
  • Winner of the "Excellence in Information Integrity (EII) Award", co-sponsored by Unitech Systems, Inc. and the Information Integrity Coalition. TSYS was also selected as the category winner for Innovation and Improved Customer Satisfaction, two of the five overall criteria upon which the award is based. TSYS is the first company to win this award twice since its inception in 1995.

2002

  • TSYS was named 2002 Large Employer of the Year by Columbus, Ga., Mayor Bobby Peters and the Mayor's Committee for Persons with Disabilities. This annual award recognizes companies who promote and support disability awareness
  • Visa awarded TSYS their Service Quality Performance Award for the Lowest Assured Transaction Rate, which reflects TSYS' ability to ensure system availability to respond to authorization requests in a timely manner and not have to divert transactions to the Visa Stand-In process. The award not only acknowledges consistent, superior performance, but it also emphasizes continued service quality improvement
  • BusinessWeek ranked TSYS No. 890 in its annual "Global 1000" survey of the largest companies in 23 countries, based on market capitalization (July 15, 2002). TSYS market capitalization was $4.51 billion as of May 31, 2002.
  • TSYS ranked #34 in BusinessWeek's"2002 Hot Growth Companies" article published June 10, 2002. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution ranks TSYS No. 39 in its annual survey, "Beyond the Ga. 100 -The 175 Best Performing Companies," which was published May 19, 2002. Corporate data from official filings and other sources are analyzed by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Companies based in Georgia are also ranked by revenue, return on equity, total return, market value and year-to-date share price change in 2002.

  • TSYS received national recognition at the National Postal Forum in San Diego as an award winner of the Idea Forum. TSYS continues to be a strong business partner with the USPS and has benefited from improved mail quality through the use of diagnostics and analysis provided by MERLIN (Mail Evaluation Readability Lookup Instrument). TSYS currently prints and mails over 500 million pieces of First Class mail each year.
