TSYS Presence in India

TSYS has identified India as a strategic market that is vital to its overall growth. The company has an established local footprint in India, and in 2005, it successfully converted the credit card portfolio of India's second largest bank and largest private sector bank – the largest credit card conversion ever completed outside of the U.S.

In 2006, TSYS opened offices in New Delhi and Mumbai and has since extended its merchant acquiring processing solutions with a suite of connectivity interfaces to multiple payment devices and new channels of service delivery.

In 2010, Visa developed an Electronic Payment Solution using the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) platform. The solution is designed to provide a payment infrastructure for Aadhaar holders, especially the un-banked and under-banked, with TSYS as the biometric authentication technology partner.

Today, TSYS has an established footprint in the Indian market serving some of the country's top bank and employs more than 450 technical team members across New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune facilities.
