Our Headquarters

Columbus, Georgia — home to our corporate headquarters — is an authentic Rivertown. The gentle rolling waters of the Chattahoochee have provided food, energy, employment and recreation for the citizens of Columbus throughout the years.

In fact, Columbus was recognized in Best Life magazine as the #4 place in the United States to raise a family, citing safety, good schools with favorable student-teacher ratios, above-average test scores and respectable budgets. Health care, cultural arts and outdoor recreation facilities also contribute to a good quality of life for the entire family.

Columbus is steeped in tradition, and yet it is a city with an eye on the future. It is a busy industrial center that speaks the new language of a multicultural society and a global economy.

Geographically, Columbus is a vibrant and growing community of 250,000 people and  is a hub for regional travel. Conveniently located an hour and a half south of Atlanta, the beaches of Florida’s Gulf of Mexico are also just a short drive away. Besides being the home of Fort Benning, the best Army Installation in the World, Columbus is also the corporate headquarters of several other leading companies such as AFLAC Insurance, Carmike Cinemas, Char-Broil and Tom's Snack Foods.

Columbus is located at the center of some of Georgia's major attractions, including nationally-renowned Callaway Gardens, Roosevelt's Little White House and Westville the Village of 1850.

Callaway Gardens
At Callaway Gardens, families can enjoy natural wonders from floral displays to 14,000 acres of natural woodlands to the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center, the nation's largest tropical butterfly conservatory.

This park is dedicated to the memory of four-time U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt and includes his Little White House and the 23-mile Pine Mountain Trail, which winds through a mix of hardwoods and pines.

The Columbus Civic Center
The Civic Center, a 10,000 seat arena, is host to the East Coast Hockey League's Columbus Cottonmouths and the AIFL team the Chattahoochee Valley Vipers. In addition to local sports, the Civic Center also hosts the SEC Women's Basketball Championship, High School Sports Tournaments, and a variety of concerts, trade shows and conventions. The River Center
The River Center is the newest jewel adorning uptown Columbus. Located in the heart of the entertainment and arts district, the 240,000 square foot facility is home to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music. The River Center is comprised of a multi-purpose, 2,000 seat, state-of-the-art theatre, a 450-seat concert hall, a black box theatre, a media production house, and meeting spaces. The RiverWalk
Columbus is an authentic river town. The gently rolling waters of the Chattahoochee have provided food, energy, employment and recreation throughout the years. Today, the river is home to the 12-mile linear park called the Chattahoochee RiverWalk. The RiverWalk provides an excellent place to bike, in-line skate, and jog or just take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the scenery. South Commons
South Commons, the region's most intensive sports and recreation complex, contains the new Civic Center (home to the Columbus Cottonmouths professional ice hockey team), a newly renovated Golden Park, which is home to the Columbus Catfish professional baseball team, an eight-field softball complex (soon to include a 2,500-seat softball stadium) and the Memorial Football Stadium. Columbus Museum
The second-largest art museum in Georgia and one of the largest in the Southeast, the Columbus Museum welcomes visitors from all over the world  – free of charge. The Museum focuses on American art and regional history, and is particularly known for its concentration on the art and history of the Southeast and the Chattahoochee River Valley.
