Environmental Consciousness in the United Kingdom

TSYS' strength has always been our people and their relationships with our customers, as well as being aware of our impact that TSYS has on the environment around us. As part of our commitment to maintain our reputation of integrity and for doing the right thing, we take environmental consciousness seriously and ensure this is placed at the forefront if our corporation's ideals.

In the UK, TSYS has made outstanding progress by gaining accreditation to ISO 14001:2004 and BS OHSAS 18001: 2007 standards which cover Environmental Management Systems and Health & Safety Management Systems. These entail a three-year review process, with regular monitoring to ensure environmental and health and safety targets are achieved and the systems are robust.

In 2011, TSYS achieved the Carbon Action Standard Plus, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to reducing our impact on the environment and continually lowering our carbon emissions year on year.

In 2011 we also published environmental performance targets for the first time which identified three key areas where significant reductions have been targeted - electricity, water and waste. You can review our progress against these targets, and our aims for 2012, by following this link.
