Oprandy Joins TSYS to Implement Six Sigma Initiatives

As Group Executive of Operational Excellence Will Report to TSYS President

Columbus, Ga., April 23, 2003 - Frank Oprandy has joined TSYS as group executive to lead its operational excellence initiatives and will report to TSYS President Philip W. Tomlinson. In this role, Frank will be responsible for the coordination of all quality improvement efforts at TSYS.  His primary focus will be on the deployment of the Six Sigma process improvement methodology across all TSYS business units.

Prior to joining TSYS, Frank enjoyed an impressive career with Fortune 500 companies, among them American Express and most recently GE.  While with General Electric, he served as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, an e.Business Program Manager and also earned his Black Belt certification.  As a change agent and process improvement leader, Frank led and mentored numerous projects resulting in millions of dollars worth of savings for GE and its customers. 

Frank has an MBA in Technology Management from Auburn University and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. A veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Frank served as a commissioned officer and helicopter pilot with the 4th Squadron, 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment of Ft. Bliss, Texas.  Frank, his wife Tracey and their two children will relocate to the Columbus area from Cincinnati, Ohio.
