TSYS Extends Processing Agreement With MBNA

Columbus, GA, Janurary 12, 2005 - MBNA has extended its existing seven-year relationship with TSYS for commercial-card processing services by an additional three years.

MBNA (NYSE: KRB), based in Wilmington, Del., has been a TSYS client since 1995. MBNA is the largest independent issuer of credit cards in the United States and the leader in affinity marketing.

TSYS serves nine of the 10 largest issuers of Visa and MasterCard commercial accounts in the United States, and 100 percent of the federal government's "Smart Pay" accounts.
