TSYS Executive to Serve on Money Transmitter Regulators Association Panel

Alpharetta, Ga., October 9, 2007 — TSYS Prepaid, Inc., a leading provider of network–branded card solutions, will present at the Money Transmitter Regulators Association (MTRA) Annual Conference being held in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 9–11. Brad Fauss, Senior Vice President of Legal, Risk and Compliance for TSYS Prepaid, will serve on a panel titled “Legal/Regulatory Issues Triggered by Prepaid Cards,” which will be moderated by Deborah Thoren–Peden of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.

As the prepaid industry continues to grow and mature, regulators are scrambling to understand and predict the issues that often arise in the prepaid industry. The panel will address various legal issues raised by the different types of prepaid cards such as closed loop, open loop and payroll cards. The panel will also address licensure issues, and regulatory and compliance issues such as fee disclosures, fee limitations, expiration dates, anti-money laundering concerns and federal preemption.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide state regulators with a comprehensive explanation of the prepaid marketplace,” said Mr. Fauss. “We will also provide an explanation of the legal and regulatory hurdles faced by industry participants that are required to comply with federal laws as well as potentially conflicting state laws in each of the states in which they operate. Our hope is to help streamline the thought process and approach of various state regulators, so that each state will start applying a common set of rules and principles for industry participants.”

Brad Fauss is Senior Vice President of Legal, Risk and Compliance for TSYS Prepaid, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of TSYS. Mr. Fauss brings extensive transaction processing experience to TSYS Prepaid. Previously, Mr. Fauss served as Division General Counsel of Global Payments, a leading provider of electronic transaction processing services, focusing on mergers & acquisitions, compliance and general corporate transactional work. Mr. Fauss also practiced law with Alston & Bird LLP in Atlanta, Ga. and with Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein LLP in Raleigh, N.C. Mr. Fauss received his juris doctorate, with honors, from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in finance, Summa Cum Laude, from Florida State University.

The conference will be held October 9–11, 2007, at The Blake Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. For more information log on to www.mtraweb.org.
