TSYS Healthcare Executive Selected for Industry Award

Minneapolis and Columbus, Ga., Sept. 14, 2009 — TSYS Healthcare announced today that Kim Kaczmarek, its vice president of product development, has won the Solutions Innovator Award, which is presented by CDHC Solutions Magazine.

Nominated by a third-party administrator (TPA) that is a TSYS Healthcare customer, Kaczmarek was selected by the publication's editorial team and advisory board from a large number of nominations throughout the industry. The award reflects her significant contribution to payments innovation in healthcare through the development of the TSYS Healthcare payments solution, which includes the My Care Card^TM program.

Many institutions have benefited from the option-driven and highly configurable TSYS Healthcare platform that allows them to customize solutions from a vast array of payment and service capabilities. Kaczmarek recognized that there was a real need for a pre-packaged card-based payment solution that was sized with TPAs in mind. Launched in 2008, the My Care Card program delivers many of the payment card capabilities critical to success today, including stacked cards with access to as many as 50 different account purses using one card, with applications that cover HSAs, HRAs, FSAs, lines of credit and cash reimbursement.

Because of Kaczmarek's contributions, consumers can present their My Care Card to healthcare providers with confidence and peace of mind that their healthcare purchases and payments are coming from the right account; meet all the substantiation rules and requirements; and will be reported on the My Care Card portal and on integrated TSYS statements for cardholder reference.
